Fyodor Dostoevsky is well known for his novels exploring the psychology of the social, political, and spiritual struggles of 19th Century Russia. When designing for three of his best known works, I wanted to draw upon the common themes of poverty, the oppression of the Siberian tundra, and the incompetence of the ruling class. The subjects of these novels are forced to deal with the consequences of their actions and are pushed to the fringes because of it.
